The build plate of this movement stands out with these carefully crafted Geneva lines, creating an interesting visual and letting the brass hardware stand out. An amazing array of 21 screw-set jewels help to power the rose-gold gears, equipped with double roller escapement to prevent overbanking. This watch knows how to show off! Originally manufactured in Springfield, Illinois in 1923, the same year that the very first home game was played in Yankee Stadium. The game was between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, and at that time the stadium had the most seats of any stadium in America. Babe Ruth ended the game with a three-run home run off the right-field stands, giving birth to the nickname “The House That Ruth Built.”
